St. Clement’s Church & Theater
Sunday at St. Clement’s: the congregation standing with their service sheets, the priest at the altar beyond

You have a
place here.

A place to be seen. A place to be heard. A place to be loved. A place to belong.

We’d love to see you
this Sunday at 11.

St. Clement’s

An Episcopal church, an Off-Broadway theater and a food pantry, in Hell’s Kitchen.

What Sunday’s like

10:50

Find the
red doors.

St. Clement’s is between Ninth and Tenth Avenues. It’s about 20 steps up, with no elevator; if stairs are hard for you, call 212 246 7277 before Sunday.

10:55

Take
any seat.

We worship in our 161-seat Off-Broadway theater. Every word and every song is in the bulletin, so you can follow along.

11:00

We begin
with music.

Hymns, our choir, and Darryl Curry, our Music Director. Lately that’s included “Seasons of Love” from Rent.

Then

We listen to
the Bible.

Readings from the Bible, read by people from the congregation, and a message about what they mean for our lives this week.

Midway

Say hello.

At the peace, everyone greets the people around them. A handshake or a wave is just right.

Toward the end

All are welcome
at the table.

All are welcome to receive communion. Come forward to receive bread and wine.

About noon

Coffee and
people to meet.

Stay for coffee, drinks and something to eat. It’s the easiest way to meet people.

Food
Pantry

How to help

A place
of grace.

Forgiveness is real here.

Church is where we practice grace week after week. For ourselves. Toward others.
